Über
Background:
• Turnover under $75,000 per year
• Not registered for GST
• Used a personal bank account for both personal and business transactions
• 3 financial years of income tax returns to prepare
Scope of Work:
• Review and import 3 years of bank transactions (PDF statements available)
• Separate business vs personal transactions accurately
• Reconcile business activity inside Xero
• Categorise income and deductible expenses correctly
• Produce clean Profit & Loss statements per financial year
• Prepare financials suitable for submission to an Australian accountant for tax lodgement
Important:
• No GST or BAS work required
• Focus is income tax compliance for a sole trader
Requirements:
• Proven experience with Australian sole traders
• Strong understanding of ATO compliance requirements
• Advanced Xero experience
• Experience cleaning up mixed personal/business accounts
• Ability to prepare tax-ready financial reports
