Plant Maintenance Manager – Industrial Facility Operations
Location: Cambridge, Ontario (Fully Onsite)

Northwest Talent Solutions is partnering with a major North American environmental and recycling services company to hire a Plant Maintenance Manager for a newly launched, state-of-the-art material recovery facility (MRF).

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to help commission, stabilize, and optimize a modern processing plant featuring advanced automated equipment and material-handling systems.

What You'll Do:
  • Supervise and develop a team of maintenance technicians

  • Plan staffing, scheduling, and performance management

  • Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems

  • Ensure equipment uptime and safe return-to-service

  • Maintain CMMS records, inventory, and spare parts management

  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and specialized repairs

  • Support startup and commissioning of new equipment

  • Manage maintenance budgeting and operational planning

  • Promote and enforce safety and regulatory compliance

  • Build a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence

Equipment & Systems You'll Support:
  • Conveyors and automated material handling systems

  • Sorting and screening equipment

  • Optical sorting technology

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic machinery

  • Industrial processing equipment

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years industrial maintenance experience

  • 2+ years leadership or supervisory experience

  • Experience in manufacturing, processing, recycling, or heavy industrial operations

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems

Preferred:
  • Waste, recycling, aggregates, or processing plant experience

  • Preventive & predictive maintenance program leadership

  • CMMS system administration

  • Union environment experience

  • Trade certification (Millwright, Red Seal, or similar)

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: CAD $100,000 – $115,000 + bonus eligibility
