We are searching for the best talent for a Regional Business Manager to join our J&J Surgery team. This position is remote based in Canada with the ideal candidate residing in Toronto. The territory is Eastern Ontario & Atlantic Canada.
Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Business Manager to lead our high performing sales team across Eastern Ontario & Atlantic Canada. This individual will be responsible for driving regional sales performance, developing talent, and fostering strong collaboration with head office teams to achieve and exceed revenue objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership presence, a passion for team development, and the ability to execute regional strategies in alignment with national business goals.
You Will Be Responsible For
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and motivate a regional sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Conduct regular field visits, performance reviews, and coaching sessions to support development and accountability.
Identify skills gaps and implement targeted development plans to elevate team capability and performance.
Foster a positive, high-performance culture built on collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Regional Sales Management
Own the regional sales plan and deliver results aligned with national strategy.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and competitive threats.
Ensure accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting of regional performance.
Develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive market share and achieve quota.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with head office stakeholders including Marketing, Operations, Medical Affairs, Professional Education and Finance to align regional needs with broader organizational priorities.
Communicate regional insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to influence strategy and decision-making.
Support national programs, product launches, and promotional activities within the region.
Customer & Market Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
Represent the organization at regional events, conferences, and business reviews.
Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through effective problem resolution and proactive engagement.
Required
Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
5-6 years of progressive commercial experience, ideally in a regional or multi-territory capacity.
Proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategy.
Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix environment.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the region.
50%+ business travel. Weekly travel within the region, travel to the head office, US meetings.
Preferred
Experience in the medical, healthcare, or technology sectors.
Strong change leadership and talent development mindset.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
The expected base pay range for this position is $110,000 to $189,750 CAD.
