We are seeking experienced and safety-minded individuals to manage the movement of materials within our state-of-the-art facility. Your role is essential to our supply chain efficiency, ensuring that inventory is handled correctly and operations run smoothly. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, reach, order picker) to move, stack, load, and unload products and materials.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts before each shift, identifying and reporting any defects or safety concerns.
- Transport goods accurately and efficiently between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including put-away, retrieval, and cycle counting.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring clear pathways and preventing hazards.
- Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently, coordinating with other team members.
- Follow all logistics and operational procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize errors.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of safe lifting practices and material handling techniques.
- Operate equipment in a manner that prioritizes safety for self and others.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics principles.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and situational awareness.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including potential overtime.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
