We are seeking energetic Picker/Packers to join our thriving logistics operations in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using order lists or scanning devices.
- Carefully pack products into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring adequate protection.
- Utilize hand-held scanners for inventory tracking and order fulfillment updates.
- Verify product codes, quantities, and quality against order details.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all warehouse safety standards.
- Follow all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines and company safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals for picking and packing.
- Practice safe lifting techniques and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- Report any issues with inventory, equipment, or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and occasional overtime.
- A positive attitude and strong desire to work effectively within a team.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and safety procedures.
