We have an immediate opening for a skilled Forklift Operator in Baltimore, Maryland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within our warehouse. Ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials is paramount. You will play a key part in our overall logistics process, ensuring that goods are moved accurately and on time. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and proficiency in forklift operation. Daily pre-operational checks of the forklift are mandatory to ensure optimal safety and performance. You will also be involved in receiving and put-away processes, as well as picking and staging orders for shipment. Adherence to all company safety policies, including the correct use of PPE, is non-negotiable. This role may involve some manual lifting of materials when not operating the forklift, typically up to 40 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport goods to and from storage areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking processes.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and commitment to wearing PPE.
- Good manual dexterity and coordination.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
