Join our team as a Material Handler in Madison, Wisconsin! We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to support our warehouse operations. Your primary responsibilities will include moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment. You will handle a variety of tasks related to receiving, stocking, and dispatching goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding our high standards of Safety. This role is crucial for the effective functioning of our Logistics department, ensuring a smooth flow of products. You will work in a dynamic environment and be an essential part of our supply chain. Teamwork and effective communication are highly valued. A commitment to following all established procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Stock materials in designated areas and ensure proper rotation.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments accurately.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper handling and documentation.
- Keep the warehouse environment clean, organized, and safe.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment safely.
- Follow all company Safety guidelines and protocols.
- Report any damaged goods or equipment issues promptly.
- Support the Logistics team in various operational tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
