Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers with precision.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock checks.
- Ensure all aisles and work areas are kept clear and free of obstructions.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to optimize workflow and meet targets.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as required.
- Contribute to a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid forklift operator certification.
- Demonstrable experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with Logistics principles and warehouse operations.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to adhering to safety standards and wearing appropriate PPE.
