We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in all shipping operations. You will be responsible for verifying shipment contents, preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining inventory records related to shipped goods. This role is integral to our supply chain operations, ensuring our products reach our customers without delay and in perfect condition. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and label outgoing shipments according to order specifications.
- Prepare and review shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing packages to ensure they meet company standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of shipped items and report any discrepancies.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including receiving and stocking when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related warehouse role preferred.
- Proficient in using shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
