Join our team as an Order Picker in the vibrant city of Washington, D.C.! We are looking for diligent individuals to meticulously pick and stage orders for our valued customers. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring accuracy and timely preparation of outgoing shipments. As an Order Picker, you will navigate our warehouse using RF scanners or pick sheets, locating and retrieving specific items. Your ability to work efficiently, maintain accuracy, and follow safety guidelines is paramount. This position offers a great opportunity to be part of a growing company and contribute to a smooth supply chain. We provide comprehensive training, focusing on operational procedures and safety. A key aspect of this role involves adherence to strict safety protocols and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. The physical demands include significant walking, standing, bending, and the ability to perform lifting of merchandise. You will be an integral part of ensuring customer satisfaction by preparing their orders accurately. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists or RF scanner prompts.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
- Meet individual and team productivity goals.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capacity for lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
