We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in Sacramento, California. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and efficiently packing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to speed will ensure our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a collaborative team. The logistics of our operation depend heavily on the accuracy and efficiency of our picking and packing staff. You will work closely with inventory management to ensure stock accuracy and assist in maintaining an organized and safe work environment. Training will be provided, with a strong emphasis on warehouse safety protocols and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding order status and potential issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or fulfillment experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30-50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Understanding and adherence to safety regulations and the use of PPE.
