Job Summary:
Join our busy logistics team in San Francisco, California, as a Shipping Clerk. We are seeking a highly organized individual to manage and process all outgoing shipments efficiently and accurately. Your responsibilities will include preparing documentation, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that all packages meet shipping requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of shipping procedures within a logistics context. This role is critical to ensuring our products reach our customers on time and in perfect condition. We prioritize accuracy and efficiency in all our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Generate accurate shipping labels and necessary documentation (e.g., BOLs, manifests).
  • Schedule and coordinate carrier pickups and deliveries.
  • Track shipment progress and provide status updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Verify order contents against shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Inspect packages for proper sealing and packaging integrity before dispatch.
  • Maintain detailed shipping records and logs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with inventory verification and cycle counts when needed.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE during warehouse movements.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency with shipping software and carrier management systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping requirements.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Working Conditions:
This position primarily involves administrative tasks within a warehouse setting, but may require occasional movement on the warehouse floor. Employees are expected to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE as required. This role is a key component of our San Francisco logistics operations, ensuring smooth product distribution.
