We are seeking an efficient and attentive Order Picker to join our growing team in Cincinnati, Ohio. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving specified items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is a cornerstone of our logistics and fulfillment process, requiring speed, accuracy, and a strong understanding of inventory management. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, highly organized, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. A commitment to safety and attention to detail are paramount. We value individuals who are reliable and contribute positively to team objectives. This position is key to ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order processing.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and retrieve products from warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Use RF scanners or other technology to track picked items.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain organization of warehouse aisles and picking locations.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Meet or exceed established picking performance metrics.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or product damage to supervision.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as stocking or cycle counting.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient workflow within the logistics operation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety guidelines.
Working Conditions:
This position is based in a warehouse environment that requires constant physical activity. Employees must be able to perform tasks involving frequent lifting, bending, and standing. Safety is our top priority, and all personnel are required to follow strict safety protocols and wear the appropriate PPE. This role is integral to our efficient logistics operations in Cincinnati.
