We are seeking a dedicated and organized Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our dynamic logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. You will be responsible for accurately processing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring that all items are handled with care and precision. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify quantities and quality of goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized and clean receiving and shipping area.
- Update inventory records in the warehouse management system.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and physical inventories as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers.
- Support other warehouse operations as required, demonstrating a flexible and team-oriented approach.
- Understand the importance of timely and accurate order fulfillment in the logistics chain.
- Must be comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs consistently.
