Join our dynamic team in Seattle, Washington as a Material Handler! This role is crucial for the efficient operation of our warehouse and Logistics network. You will be responsible for the safe and effective movement of materials, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and preparing goods for shipment. Operating various pieces of equipment and ensuring accuracy in all tasks will be key. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and possesses a strong commitment to Safety and teamwork. You will handle a variety of products, requiring physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting. Adherence to all Safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is non-negotiable. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack products accurately for outgoing orders.
- Stage materials for loading onto trucks.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification required for forklifts).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures diligently.
- Perform routine checks on equipment.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages promptly.
- Perform tasks requiring frequent and heavy Lifting.
- Assist with inventory control measures and cycle counts.
- Support the overall Logistics and supply chain functions.
- Ensure the consistent use of required PPE.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is highly desirable. Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including consistent Lifting of heavy objects. Familiarity with warehouse equipment operation. Strong knowledge of Safety procedures and the importance of PPE. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team setting. Excellent work ethic and reliability. Understanding of basic Logistics principles is advantageous.
