Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic warehouse team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This critical role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and proper management of our extensive inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and optimizing stock levels to minimize losses and meet demand. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining the efficiency of our logistics operations. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy. You will work closely with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to ensure seamless inventory flow. Regular reporting on inventory status and performance metrics will also be a key responsibility. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems are essential. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
  • Process inventory adjustments and transfers.
  • Collaborate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure accurate stock movements.
  • Generate reports on inventory accuracy, turnover, and other key performance indicators.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance, including proper use of PPE.
  • Participate in inventory audits.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, particularly regarding Lifting and material handling.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role is required. Proficiency in WMS software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with safety protocols and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. Experience with Logistics and supply chain principles is a plus. Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting.
