We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to manage and oversee operations at our Austin, Texas facility. This critical role ensures the efficient flow of goods through our warehouse, contributing significantly to our logistics network. The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for supervising staff, optimizing storage, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational standards. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including pickers, packers, and receivers.
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counting, stock rotation, and discrepancy resolution.
- Ensure efficient space utilization and organization within the warehouse.
- Manage the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and the use of equipment.
- Maintain records and prepare reports on warehouse activities, inventory levels, and staff performance.
- Coordinate with other departments and external logistics partners to ensure seamless operations.
- Identify areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or coordination.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Physical ability to perform tasks as needed, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of PPE requirements.
