We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring timely and correct fulfillment of all orders. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will need to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or scanner instructions.
- Verify product information and quantities against order details.
- Package selected items securely for shipment, ensuring no damage.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, after proper training and certification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order pick lists and product labels.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety vests and gloves.
