We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our busy warehouse in Miami, Florida. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our logistics facility, ensuring that materials are moved, organized, and ready for processing or shipment. As a Material Handler, you will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to transport inventory throughout the facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving incoming materials, stocking shelves, replenishing pick locations, and preparing materials for the production or shipping departments. A strong commitment to safety is essential, as you will be working with heavy machinery and materials. You must be proficient in operating various types of forklifts and adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform frequent lifting of materials up to 60 lbs, and the capacity to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Receive and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders.
- Stock and organize materials in warehouse locations.
- Replenish pick faces and production lines.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use required PPE.
- Ensure the organized and efficient flow of materials within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid forklift certification and proven operating experience.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety protocols and use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
