We are hiring a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of goods from our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately documented, packaged, and dispatched according to schedule. This position requires a strong understanding of shipping procedures and a commitment to maintaining accurate records. You will play a key role in our logistics chain, working closely with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and prioritizes safety in all aspects of their work.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation for all outgoing packages.
- Verify order accuracy before packaging and shipping.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information.
- Manage shipping supplies inventory and reorder as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Assist with receiving operations when needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and computer systems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate lifting.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the proper use of PPE.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
