Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and optimize stock levels.
- Manage the warehouse management system (WMS) for inventory-related functions.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and tracking of all inventory items.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to minimize obsolescence and spoilage.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., receiving, shipping, operations) to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Generate regular inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics and insights.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols related to inventory handling and storage.
- Train and guide warehouse staff on inventory control best practices and PPE usage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, stock management, or a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and WMS is required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics operations and supply chain principles.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and the correct use of PPE.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
