In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked from inventory and carefully packed for shipment. Your primary responsibilities will include using pick lists or scanners to locate items, verifying product details, and then preparing items for safe transit. This is a fast-paced position that requires focus and efficiency. A strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is critical. You will be on your feet for most of your shift and may be required to perform tasks involving moderate lifting. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure are key. This role is essential to our logistics chain, directly impacting customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using pick sheets or RF scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using appropriate materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including receiving and stocking.
- Report any issues with inventory or equipment to supervisors.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform lifting tasks (up to 30 lbs).
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
