This critical role ensures that our stock levels are precisely managed, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations, and optimizing our supply chain operations. You will conduct regular cycle counts, perform physical inventories, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy. A strong understanding of inventory management principles, attention to detail, and analytical skills are essential. The Inventory Control Specialist will work closely with the warehouse operations team to ensure efficient flow of goods and support logistics activities. You must be adept at using inventory management software and reporting tools. Your commitment to safety is paramount, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all warehouse safety guidelines. While not a heavy lifting role, some tasks may require moving items to facilitate counts or investigations. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Assist with the organization and placement of inventory.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Excel.
