Join our busy distribution center in Sacramento, California, as a Receiving Clerk. This critical role ensures that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. You will be the first point of contact for deliveries, playing a key part in the efficiency of our overall logistics chain. A strong focus on accuracy, Safety, and organization is essential for success in this position. We are committed to providing a safe work environment, and all employees are expected to follow strict safety protocols and utilize designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is an excellent opportunity for someone detail-oriented to contribute to a thriving warehouse operation. Responsibilities include:
- Unloading incoming shipments from trucks.
- Verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspecting received products for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately entering receiving data into the warehouse management system.
- Tagging and labeling inventory for proper storage.
- Communicating any issues or discrepancies to supervisors or procurement teams.
- Organizing and staging received goods for put-away.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Adhering to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Assisting with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Performing tasks involving appropriate Lifting of goods.
- Understanding and implementing warehouse logistics for incoming freight.
- Following instructions for efficient receiving processes.
