We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Distribution Center Associate to join our dynamic team in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that products are received, processed, and shipped accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving incoming shipments and verifying the accuracy of orders against packing slips.
- Unloading trucks and safely operating material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Stocking merchandise in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Picking and packing orders according to specific customer requirements, utilizing order sheets or scanning technology.
- Preparing shipments for dispatch, including labeling, staging, and loading onto delivery vehicles.
- Conducting regular inventory counts and assisting with inventory management to maintain accuracy.
- Adhering strictly to all Safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles are clear and equipment is stored properly.
- Contributing to the overall efficiency of the Logistics operation through teamwork and proactive problem-solving.
- Performing other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
This role requires the ability to perform tasks that involve significant physical exertion, including frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching. Successful candidates must be comfortable with frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds, and occasionally more with assistance. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
