Our rapidly growing logistics company is seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team in Provo, Utah. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of outgoing orders. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, verifying package contents against orders, and coordinating with carriers to schedule pickups. Attention to detail is paramount, as you will be handling a high volume of shipments. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a warehouse environment and a strong understanding of shipping procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining shipping supplies and ensuring the shipping area is clean and organized. This position requires physical stamina as some Lifting may be involved. We prioritize employee well-being and provide all necessary PPE . Adherence to all Safety protocols is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Generate and verify shipping labels and documentation.
- Inspect outgoing packages for accuracy and damage.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups.
- Maintain accurate inventory of shipping supplies.
- Ensure the shipping dock is clean, organized, and safe.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed, with appropriate training.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or logistics preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and equipment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate Lifting .
- Familiarity with PPE requirements in a warehouse setting.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
