Build a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server to connect Claude AI to my QuickBooks Online account for automated financial reporting and data entry.
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
I run EverLine Coatings & Services (franchise). I need to automate budget tracking, financial reporting, and invoice management by connecting QuickBooks to Claude AI.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
MCP Server Implementation:
✓ Use official MCP SDK:
✓ + TypeScript (preferred) OR Python 3.9+
✓ Support SSE and stdio transport modes
✓ OAuth 2.0 for QuickBooks Online API v3
REQUIRED CAPABILITIES:
Read Operations:
- P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow (any date range)
- AR/AP Aging reports
- Transaction lists (invoices, bills, expenses, payments)
- Chart of Accounts, customer/vendor lists
- Advanced filtering by date, account, customer, status
Write Operations:
- Create/update invoices and expenses
- Record payments
- Create journal entries
- Add/update customers and vendors
Query Support:
- Date range filtering
- Search by amount, reference, name
- Group/sum by category, month, account
- Support budget comparison queries
