This project involves verifying and adding profanity, swear words, and taboo slang. Please only apply if you are comfortable working with offensive or explicit vocabulary.
Project Overview
We have a short list (approx words) of Arabic swear words and slang terms with their phonetic transcriptions (IPA). We need a native speaker with a linguistics background to verify this list and add missing terms.
The Tasks
Verify Existing Data: Check our current list. Ensure the IPA transcription matches the natural, colloquial pronunciation (not just the "dictionary" version).
Correct Errors: Fix any IPA errors in the existing list.
Add New Words: You must add 10-20 new common swear words, insults, or taboo slang terms that are missing from our list.
For each new word, you must provide: The word (native script), the literal meaning, and the accurate IPA transcription.
Requirements
Native Speaker of Arabic.
IPA Proficiency: You must be able to transcribe slang/street language into IPA accurately.
Cultural Knowledge: You must know the current, modern slang used by native speakers today.
Contract duration of less than 1 month.
Mandatory skills: Proofreading, Translation, Arabic, Native Fluency
