We run a niche luxury hotel booking platform. We are about to unlock materially better wholesale rates through our supplier, which means for a defined set of hotels we will be the cheapest or one of the cheapest on Google Hotel Search and major OTAs.
We want to use Google Search ads to capture high-intent traffic for specific hotel brand names and convert that traffic into bookings without losing money.
Revenue is not the metric.
Net commission after ad spend is the only metric.

What you will do
You will set up and manage Google Search campaigns targeting hotel brand name searches for a small, curated list of properties.
Your job is to:
• Build lean, brand-specific campaigns
• Control CPC tightly so it fits within commission limits
• Write compliant ad copy that converts without trademark issues
• Optimise toward bookings, not traffic
• Pause or kill campaigns that do not make economic sense
You will report in terms of:
• cost per booking
• average commission per booking
• net contribution after ad spend
What matters
We intentionally pass most of the price advantage to the customer to drive conversion. Margins are thin by design. That means ads must be run with discipline.
If a campaign spends $100 and generates $200 in booking value but only $80 in commission, that is a failure.
What we are looking for
• Hands-on experience running Google Search ads in travel or hospitality
• Clear understanding of brand bidding and competitor dynamics
• Comfort working with small keyword sets and tight margins
• Willingness to make unemotional decisions based on numbers
• Ability to say when something does not work
Nice to have
• Experience with hotel wholesalers or commission-based booking models
• Prior work where profitability mattered more than scale
How success is judged
Not on impressions, clicks, or revenue screenshots.
Success is measured by whether 1. bookings occur and 2. whether the commission covers ad spend.
Contract duration of more than 6 months. with 40 hours per week.
