Overview of Position:

Cobra Mechanical Ltd. is looking for a Journeyman Electrician who will be working primarily on out of town jobs. The successful candidate will have experience working as a Journeyman Electrician in a residential or commercial setting. The Journeyman Electrician must have a strong dedication to health and safety in the workplace, ensuring they perform their duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures. Cobra Mechanical Ltd. offers a wide range of experience with projects in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. This position will involve travel to job sites within Canada, with a typical rotation of 21 days on and 7 off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capable of directing apprentices and ensure they receive the proper training, support job training for apprentices, and facilitate mentoring.
• Capable of working on electric HVAC equipment
• Significant experience in Residential wiring, Electrical Services and typical systems in a home
• Take an interest in keeping a clean and organized work site
• Proficient knowledge of the CEC, standard practice and general construction methods
• Experience with all electrical systems typically in electrician scope, Fire alarm, data, DDC, Motor controls, Electrical Services of all sizes, Electrical Distribution, lighting, Emergency lighting, Generators and ATS
• Self-motivated and detail oriented
• Be capable of developing deficiencies lists and communicating them to management in a professional way along with estimated timelines to completion
• Familiar with Blueprints and specifications
• Proficient in Construction Safety

Qualifications & Experience:

• Red Seal Journeyman Construction Electrician required.
• Provincial license (e.g., MB HC License) required.
• Experience working with field teams on remote job sites.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and installations.
• Additional safety or leadership training is an asset.

Work conditions:

Travel to off-site locations as necessary on a rotation of up to 21 days on / 7 days off . Ability to lift 50+ lbs, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise, heavy equipment moving through work areas.
