Position Overview

Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with a knack for organization? We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to be the backbone of our team In this dynamic role, you'll not only handle vital technical and office tasks but also play a key part in enhancing our performance measures through data quality corrections and follow-ups. Plus, you'll step in as a crucial support for our Client Services Navigator and Representative, ensuring our clients receive top-notch service. Reporting to the Program Manager, our selected candidate will be monitoring ICM Service Requests and managing client case transfers at WorkBC locations. Responsibilities will include updating manuals and directories, collaborating with case managers on administrative tasks, ensuring data quality for performance metrics, and maintaining inventory of supplies. The position also requires completing statistical reports, archiving closed files, and providing backup support to client services staff by managing client interactions and assisting with intake processes. Additional duties include managing orders for supplies, marketing the program, and adhering to established policies and guidelines. 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a high school diploma, preferably with a post-secondary administrative certificate/diploma, and at least one year of experience in an administrative or intake role. Candidates should have advanced computer skills in MS Office and the internet, with experience in ICM, and proficiency in a second language is considered an asset. A thorough understanding of employment services and community resources is essential, along with strong ethics regarding confidentiality. 

The ideal candidate should be flexible, team-oriented, and skilled in communication, capable of handling diverse clientele with patience and respect. They should be organized, professional, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

This role requires the incumbent to undergo a Police Information Check (PIC), and a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.
