Customs and Border Protection Officer Overview
Job Description- As a Customs and Border Protection Officer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding America's borders while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
A typical day for this position may include enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations as well as conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances. You will also be responsible for determining the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
The work environment is varied with both indoor office settings at ports-of-entry and outdoor field environments exposed to extreme temperatures. Travel between duty locations is required but it can range from 25% to 75% depending on your specific assignment.
