The CBPO plays a crucial role in safeguarding the country's borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing economic prosperity. As a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement profession, you will be responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
A typical assignment includes:
  • Enforcing laws and regulations at ports of entry;
  • Facilitating legitimate trade and travel while preventing illegal entry;
You may also conduct inspections, determine admissibility for entry into the United States, or prevent smuggling activities. Based on operational requirements, your duty location could be one from over 60 locations across the United States.
