Customs and Border Protection Officers play a vital role in safeguarding the country's borders, enforcing customs laws, and facilitating legitimate trade. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively with diverse teams, and demonstrate strong observational techniques. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required for the GS-5 grade level. For the GS-7 grade level, candidates must have at least one year of specialized full-time work experience or meet specific education requirements.
Recruitment incentives are offered for certain duty locations up to $15,000 per year for a three-year service contract.
