### Job Description:
A Customs and Border Protection Officer is a vital member of the Federal Law Enforcement community, dedicated to safeguarding America's borders, facilitating legitimate trade and travel, while enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws.
In this role, you will be part of an elite team that strives to protect the American people by deterring illicit activity and enhancing national economic prosperity.
### Required Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse populations; demonstrate ability to learn quickly from training programs such as CBP Field Operations Academy in Glynco GA;
have minimum 3 years' work experience or a Bachelor's degree OR combination thereof;
among other requirements including U.S citizenship,
federal law enforcement retirement provisions adherence,
availability for various locations based on operational needs,
duty performance resulting in overtime pay possibilities.
Depending upon background,
candidate may qualify at GS-9 level if having previous military or civilian LEO job positions.
