The United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the position of Customs and Border Protection Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
Job Description
CBPOs are responsible for detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws; enforcing regulations related to importing/exporting goods; conducting inspections; determining admissibility; and preventing illegal entry. Your duties will include:
- Detecting contraband: CBPOs must be vigilant in identifying prohibited goods entering or leaving the country.
- Traffic control: Officers manage traffic flows at ports-of-entry to ensure efficient processing while maintaining national security standards.
