We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk at our Fort Worth, Texas facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely. Your duties will include preparing shipments, verifying documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. A strong understanding of logistics and a commitment to workplace safety are essential. We provide comprehensive training and the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your well-being. This position is perfect for someone looking to develop their skills in a critical part of the supply chain and contribute to a successful logistics operation. You will work collaboratively with warehouse staff and management to streamline shipping processes and achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare products and packages for shipment, including proper packaging and labeling.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping manifests and documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Operate shipping software to generate labels and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
- Ensure that all packages meet carrier requirements and company standards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper Lifting procedures.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and carrier representatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk, warehouse associate, or in a related logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and shipping software.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of shipping processes and basic logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform moderate Lifting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
