Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our vibrant logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. In this essential role, you will be the gatekeeper of our incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. Your responsibilities will encompass unloading trucks, inspecting shipments, processing documentation, picking and packing orders, and preparing them for dispatch. This position is vital for maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse and supporting our overall logistics strategy.
Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming freight from trucks, verify contents, and inspect for damages.
  • Receive and log all incoming shipments accurately into the inventory system.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to specifications.
  • Stage outgoing shipments, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
  • Load trucks for outgoing deliveries efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the receiving and shipping areas.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts as directed.
  • Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external partners to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a general warehouse role is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using RF scanners and basic computer systems.
  • Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory management.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
