Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, reconciling stock levels, and implementing strategies to minimize loss and improve efficiency. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and effectively, supporting overall supply chain success. Maintaining a safe work environment, including proper PPE usage and awareness of Lifting requirements, is essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory accuracy metrics.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure proper inventory handling.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics setting.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and other inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
  • Understanding of Safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
