Are you meticulous and organized? We need an Inventory Control Specialist for our New York City, New York warehouse! This crucial role involves maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory through diligent tracking, cycle counting, and discrepancy resolution. You will play a key part in ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly by providing precise inventory data, which is vital for efficient order fulfillment and stock management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/LIFO) and identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
- Assist in receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate inventory placement.
- Generate inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Ensure all inventory handling complies with safety regulations and proper PPE usage.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve inventory accuracy and processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using WMS software and inventory management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds, and working in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.

You must be comfortable working in a warehouse setting and adhering to strict safety protocols. Proper use of PPE is mandatory. This role is essential for our logistics efficiency, requiring accurate data management and proactive issue resolution. Experience with lifting and handling inventory is necessary.
