Key Responsibilities: 

Project Management

  • Lead project execution and coordination across internal functions (Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain) and external customer interfaces to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of all projects.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships from order entry through delivery, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure clear communication, alignment and satisfaction. 
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules, milestones, risks, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the end-to-end order management process,  from contract review and order entry to product shipment.
  • Monitor project progress by maintaining visibility of project status, proactively identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and development project planning.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including scope, cost, and justification records.

Operational and Capacity Planning

  • Develop and manage the overall production capacity plan to support business growth and ensure resource alignment with customer demand.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain teams to optimize production scheduling, inventory, and material flow.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Establish and monitor key projects and operational KPIs to measure performance and continuous improvement. 

Business and Financial Management

  • Monitor and analyze project financials, budgets, and forecasts; provide timely reports and insights to the leadership team.
  • Ensure alignment between project execution and business revenue targets.
  • Support strategic planning through capacity, cost, and profitability analysis.

Leadership and Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and continuously improve PMO policies, processes, and tools and reporting systems
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency and cross-functional collaboration. 
  • Act as the alternate company security contact to ensure compliance with all applicable government security and organizational protection requirements. 
  • Mentor and develop project coordinators or cross-functional team members in project management best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business/Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading projects or programs in a manufacturing environment; experience in Aerospace, Space, or Defense sectors is an asset.
  • Proven experience managing customer-engineered product lifecycles, from order intake through delivery.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Project management tools (e.g., MS Project)
    • ERP and MES systems
    • Capacity and production planning for custom, low-volume products
    • Revenue forecasting and business performance tracking
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for reporting and analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and a collaborative, hands-on working style.
  • Customer-focused and results-driven
  • Strategic thinker with strong influencing and operational execution skills
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change in a growing business. 
  • High organized, detail-oriented and proactive
  • Motivated self-starter and effective team leader. 

The expected annual salary range for this position is $103,280 to $129,100. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We also consider internal equity to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most offers will fall within this range and not at the maximum, allowing room for future growth. This position is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus based on individual and business performance factors, in accordance with Samuel's applicable incentive policy.
