About the role

Based in our Banksmeadow office, you'll play a crucial role in our office team of 5, ensuring our high-end residential projects are accurately priced.

Oversee and lead our estimating function, manage our current estimator and collaborate closely with the team to deliver precise, timely quotes that help secure new business and ensure smooth project handovers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead our estimating function across all residential projects
• Manage & mentor our current estimator
• Prepare accurate & detailed cost estimates for formwork, concrete placing & steel fixing
• Use take-off & estimation software to quantify materials & labour
• Review architectural & structural drawings to determine scope
• Develop budgets aligned with client needs & business goals
• Manage & oversee the quoting process
• Collaborate with project managers & builders for accurate scope definition
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with all stakeholders
• Identify risks & propose mitigation strategies for pricing & delivery
• Track market trends, material costs & labour rates to ensure competitive pricing
• Support process improvement across estimating & pre-construction

What are we looking for

• Proven experience specifically in formwork estimation & take-offs is essential
• Proficient in take-off & estimation software
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials & cost estimation techniques
• Excellent analytical & mathematical skills
• Strong communication & negotiation skills
• Experience leading & mentoring others preferred
• Ability to manage & oversee entire quoting process
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines & work with a high level of accuracy
