Job Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Plan Marketing & Communications, this position is responsible for in-house design and development of Plan marketing and communications materials including videos, animation, print and digital materials that are innovative, engaging and aligned with HOOPP's brand and voice. 

What you will do:

  • Design and develop creative concepts for print, digital and social channels

  • Lead full video production processes from storyboarding, filming, editing, sound and post-production

  • Develop compelling animations and motion graphics for educational and promotional projects

  • Plan and execute member photoshoots, including directing subjects, capturing high‑quality photography, and ensuring all visual assets align with HOOPP's brand standards.

  • Layout of reports, communications vehicles (i.e., member newsletters) and documents

  • Assist in the creation of motion and infographics with dynamic animation

  • Confirm design files are properly prepared for final output

  • Ensure corporate design standards, brand guidelines and appropriate document management processes are adhered to in production of all print, motion and electronic materials

  • Work closely with multiple members of the Plan Marketing & Communications team to ensure designs and videos are effectively aligned with business objectives, and the appropriate creative brief.

  • Work as needed with the Enterprise Communications team to ensure consistency and alignment with established brand guidelines.

  • Assist in the development of creative assets for videos, print and digital such as photography, iconography

  • Support design and refinement of internal decks when required

  • Manage the inventory of design assets in partnership with the Enterprise Communications team and respond to requests for creative assets as needed

  • Participate in project meetings and prepare regular updates to communicate project status

  • Assist in production tasks as needed

  • Assistance with UI layouts when required

What you bring:

  • 10+ years of in-house or agency corporate design work experience.

  • Highly collaborative team player with excellent communication and listening skills, and a professional desire to seek out constructive feedback in order to support ongoing development

  • Proven ability to juggle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills, combined with a passion for delivering an exceptional customer service experience to both internal team members and external business clients

  • High attention to detail, combined with a proven ability to deliver results

  • Desire to grow and expand existing skillsets based on evolving business needs

  • Strong understanding and proven execution of principles, tools, methodologies and processes executing video production, photography, video animation and motion graphics

  • Strong understanding of digital and print design

  • Highly proficient with current versions of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, very strong skills in After Effects and Premiere Pro), Figma, working in both PC and Mac operating systems

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of programs particularly Word and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of HTML & CSS is an asset

  • Knowledge and proven ability to integrate and work within UX/UI design principles and an Agile work environment an asset

The expected annual base salary range for this role is: $71,000 - $109,000 CADThe actual base salary offered to the successful candidate may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, individual's expertise and level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered.   This role is eligible to participate in discretionary incentive plan(s), subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan text.   This job posting is for a newly created role.
