Your Job

Eco-Tec, A Kovalus Separation Solutions Company, is looking for an HR Assistant – 6

months temporary for 8 hours a week in our Pickering, ON location. We are seeking a

motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant who would like to return into workforce, part(1)time, or as a student to support our HR Manager in various HR projects and daily activities.

This temporary offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in global HR

policies and processes and the complete gamut of HR.

Support the HR Manager for Canada and the APAC Region.

What You Will Do (Job Responsibilities)

1. Employee Records & HR Administration


• Maintain employee files (contracts, amendments, NDAs, policy

acknowledgements)


• Update HRIS / spreadsheets with:

o New hires, terminations, job changes

o Reporting lines and employee details


• Maintain org charts

2. Onboarding & Offboarding Support


• Prepare onboarding checklists


• Coordinate documentation (offer letters, welcome packs)


• Schedule orientation sessions


• Collect offboarding documents and checklists


• Coordinate exit interview scheduling

3. Policy & Documentation Support


• Format and update HR policies


• Maintain version control and audit logs


• Prepare draft communications if required.


• Track employee policy acknowledgements

4. Recruitment Coordination


• Schedule interviews


• Coordinate candidate communication


• Maintain recruitment trackers


• Post approved job ads


• Updating and reviewing job descriptions.

5. Special Projects


• Support HR Manager in any special projects


• HR initiatives to improve company culture


• Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events.


• All other duties as assigned.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


• Education

o Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in human

resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

o Strong interest in Human Resources and willingness to learn.


• Experience

o 1 to 3 years of experience in the HR domain would be an asset.


• Skills

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

o Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

o Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

o Team player with a proactive attitude.


• Software Knowledge

o Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

o ADP WFN, ADP Celergo, Payworks.
