The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for managing the financial performance of multiple commercial construction projects from start-up through closeout.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and submit monthly progress draws, coordinating the full billing process
- Manage project accounts receivable and payable, including receipt tracking and payment coordination
- Review and code project costs to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Review and process subcontractor billings, ensuring compliance with contract requirements
- Maintain and manage trade partner compliance documentation
- Communicate regularly with Project Managers, subtrades, suppliers, and internal teams
- Prepare monthly project cost reports, budget reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Assist with project cost and revenue forecasting
- Support substantial completion and project close-out activities
- 5+ years of project accounting experience in commercial construction
- Strong working knowledge of construction accounting principles and the Builders Lien Act
- Procore experience is required (must-have)
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Post-secondary education in accounting or finance would be an asset
- Experience with Acumatica would be an asset
- Driven and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to stay on top of deadlines
- Personable and collaborative, able to build strong working relationships
- Proactive and solution-focused, always looking for better ways to do things
- Comfortable in a dynamic construction environment

Compensation + Perks- Annual salary: $75,000–$90,000, commensurate with experience
