Location: Montreal Neurological Institute, Lyman Duff Building.

Position Summary:
The Research Assistant 1 assists the research team in conducting research projects and as required, is responsible for the functional supervision of the Undergraduate/Graduate Research Assistant.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts research into lists and other data repositories for projects, as well as into documented material for various projects.
  • Assist in completing literature reviews as needed.
  • Assist in processing data and reports as required.
  • Contribute to the coordination of research activities supported by/partnering with the lab.
  • Support the research team with participant communication and provide accompaniment during study participation activities.
  • Assist in the maintenance of records and files for the lab's research activities.
  • Assist in enrolment and scheduling of participants to ongoing studies.
  • Assist in double-scoring and data entry of various assessments into study databases (e.g., RedCAP), as needed.
  • Performs specific editing, scanning and reviewing of documents as required.
  • Performs basic word processing functions such as, document formatting, labeling, spellcheck, mail merge, drafting letters from template.
  • Perform other administrative/clerical tasks as required to support the research team.

Qualifications:

  • Possesses subject matter expertise acquired through a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Has a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to the research project or academic research experience may be deemed equivalent.

Other Skills:

  • Must be fluently bilingual: French and English (spoken and written).
  • Good proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
  • Dynamic enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and ability to set priorities and deliver on set deadlines.
