As an intern data engineer in the Group Functions Data Office, you will support BAU initiatives, process enhancements, and new operational procedures. You'll learn our data platform, infrastructure, and ETL best practices while developing skills in Azure, Databricks, and modern data engineering workflows. You'll work closely with experienced data engineers and gain hands‑on experience in data ingestion, curation, and reporting.
Position Responsibilities:
Support and enhance ETL pipelines and data workflows.
Participate in data ingestion, transformation, and reporting efforts.
Learn core platform and engineering practices through collaboration with senior team members.
Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, and operational activities.
Required Qualifications:
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, and libraries such as Pandas, SQLAlchemy, and PySpark.
Understanding of Azure cloud services; Databricks experience is an asset.
Data‑driven mindset and interest in data engineering best practices.
Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions and seek clarity.
Resourcefulness and ability to work through challenges.
Awareness of CI/CD, DevOps concepts, and operational workflows.
