*Overview*
We are seeking both full-time and PRN experienced, dedicated, and skilled Medical Surgical Technologists to join our dynamic ambulatory surgery center team. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in the operating room, ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of surgical practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The Surgical Technologist will assist surgeons and other medical professionals by providing essential support before, during, and after surgical procedures.
*Responsibilities*
* Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
* Assist with patient positioning and draping during surgical procedures.
* Maintain a sterile field by adhering to aseptic techniques.
* Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during operations.
* Monitor the patient's condition throughout the procedure, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
* Collect and document data related to surgical procedures.
* Implement infection control measures to prevent contamination.
* Participate in pre-operative and post-operative care as needed.
* Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
*Qualifications*
* Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is preferred.
* Experience in an operating room (OR) setting is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and suture techniques is essential.
* Familiarity with infection control practices and basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
* Experience in emergency medicine or intensive care unit (ICU) settings is a plus.
* Ability to work effectively in an ambulatory surgery center environment.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
