Customs and Border Protection Officer Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Federal Law Enforcement community as a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officer. As a CBP Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting America's borders, enforcing customs laws, and facilitating legitimate trade.

CBP Officers are responsible for conducting inspections of people, goods, and cargo at ports of entry throughout the United States. They must possess excellent observational skills, be able to make quick decisions based on available information, and demonstrate strong communication skills. In addition to performing their duties with integrity and honesty,
CBP Officers are expected to exercise sound judgment when dealing with sensitive or high-risk situations.
