The United States Border Patrol is seeking highly motivated individuals to join its elite team of law enforcement professionals. As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be responsible for safeguarding our country's borders from illegal entry, smuggling, and other illicit activities.

• Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration laws and inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions.
• Interpret and follow tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.

To qualify for this position, applicants must possess one year of general work experience demonstrating decision-making skills under stressful situations; ability to learn regulations, methods, techniques through classroom training/or on-the-job instruction; capacity to gather concise information through questioning observation/examination documents/records. Alternatively applicant may provide an education substitution – bachelor degree successfully completed 4-year course study accredited college university OR combination both – 1-year general work experience plus successful completion college education calculated using resume transcripts submitted application.
